A Scout-Run Troop, On the Go
Troop 1780 meets from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm every Thursday at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church,
305 E. Smallwood Dr, Waldorf, MD. Meetings are planned and run by the Scouts in accordance with the annual
program developed by their Patrol Leaders Council (PLC) every June.

On May 25, Scouts from Troop 1780 and Troop 1781 arrived at Jugs Bay Naural Area for a canoe campout.
Launching their canoes from the local docks, they then canoed down river to a camp site carrying all their gear
in the canoes.
There were also three Scouts who opted to hike or backpack to the campsite as part of their merit badge
requirements.
